Batches
We at Shurojhankar use Google Classroom – services by Tech Giant Google in order to organise our Online Batches and its classes. It’s a place where student can interact to their gurus over the screen through Video Calls along with other peers where they would be offered the taalim. We have also created the provision of Recording facility for Online students so that they can avail the class at their homes while doing their Riyaz.
REQUIREMENTS TO LEARN ONLINE
A strong Internet Connection (preferably Wi-Fi connection if possible) or using the mobile data
Everyone should have a proper dedicated google account for the services to be used by you through Google Classroom
Download the Google Classroom App from Play Store (Android) or App store (IOS)
Download Ishala (Android) or Itabla pro / Naadsadhna (IOS). These are paid applications for the usage of Tanpura and Tabla for Riyaz. If anyone has Electronic Tanpura and Tabla by Radel / Raagini , would also do in this case.
Offline Students must also have the above mentioned points from 2-4 for easy conduction the class in a much better way.
BATCHES FOR KHAYAL
Vistaar
Offline Mode

Vistaar is our Beginners' and Intermediate batch aimed at providing extensive learning to students pursuing Khayal. Students will be given a foundational learning about about Raagdari and Patiala Gayaki, with them being provided proper Taalim and Riyaz techniques.
Vistaar aims at a foundational approach, while providing a systematic and logical learning experience for the methodical ways of Paltas (Sargam combinations), Vocal Texture and Voice Culture.
Classes will be held every Saturday from 11 a.m., with each class having a duration of one hour. Shri Sagnik Sen will be the Guru for Vistaar.
Samarpan

Samarpan is our Beginners' and Intermediate batch aimed at providing extensive learning to students pursuing Khayal. Students will be given a foundational learning about about Raagdari and Patiala Gayaki, with them being provided proper Taalim and Riyaz techniques.
Samarpan aims at a foundational approach, while providing a systematic and logical learning experience for the methodical ways of Paltas (Sargam combinations), Vocal Texture and Voice Culture.

Sthayee

Sthayee is our Beginners' and Intermediate batch aimed at providing extensive learning to students pursuing Thumri as their main stream Gayaki. Students will be given an immersive learning experience, where nooks and corners of Banaras Thumri Gayaki will be taught. Besides Thumri, Dadra, Chaiti, Kajri, Hori, Baramasa will also be provided to the students.
Sthayee provides a fundamental approach towards the nuances of Banaras Gharana, providing strong emphasis on the beauty associated with the expression of words through lyrics.
Classes will be held every Sunday from 10 a.m., with each class having a duration of one hour. Shri Sagnik Sen will be the Guru for Sthayee.
Antara

Antara is our Beginners' and Intermediate batch aimed at providing extensive learning to students pursuing Thumri as their main stream Gayaki. Students will be given an immersive learning experience, where nooks and corners of Banaras Thumri Gayaki will be taught. Besides Thumri, Dadra, Chaiti, Kajri, Hori, Baramasa will also be provided to the students.
Antara provides a fundamental approach towards the nuances of Banaras Gharana, providing strong emphasis on the beauty associated with the expression of words through lyrics.
Classes will be held every Friday from 7:30 p.m., with each class having a duration of one hour. Shri Sagnik Sen will be the Guru for Antara.

Chakradar

Chakradar is our Beginners' and Intermediate batch aimed at providing systematic and fundamental learning experience for handpractices and fingering techniques learning to students pursuing Khayal. Students will be given a foundational learning under the famous Farukhhabad Gharana
Chakradar aims at a foundational approach, while providing a logical learning experience for the Peshkars, Kaydars. Learning procedure for fingering techniques, will also be provided from the Punjab, Ajdada & Dilli Gharanas
Classes will be held every Saturday from 3 p.m., with each class having a duration of one hour. Shri Supriyo Roy will be the Guru for Chakradar.
Tukda

Tukda is our Beginners' and Intermediate batch aimed at providing systematic and fundamental learning experience for handpractices and fingering techniques learning to students pursuing Khayal. Students will be given a foundational learning under the famous Farukhhabad Gharana

Krintan is our Beginners' and Intermediate batch aimed at providing a foundational learning experience for basic riyazs of handpractices, alongwith fundamental techniques for playing the Tantrakari style.
Gayaki aang, preached by many renowned artists, will also be introduced to the students, with new playing styles, improvisations techniques will be learned by the students.
Classes will be held every Saturday from 7 p.m., with each class having a duration of one hour. Shri Aahir Ray will be the Guru for Krintan.
Tarana

Tarana is our Advanced batch aimed at providing a advanced learning experience for improvisation of raga on the instrument, fusion of taal and the raga, silsila of the raga, alongwith the complete portrayal of the emotional beauty of the raga.
Advanced learning techniques will be taught for Gayaki aang, while fast-paced taans and sargams in Tantrakari style will also be introduced.
